Loving people starts right here in Waterford and St. Johnsbury. The gospel is breaking down barriers and God is reaching the lost, stranger and alien to unite them to Himself. We seek to love others through providing a variety of recovery ministries through our CARE ministry and Celebrate Recovery. As we identify the needs around us we try to meet them with events like our annual Community Giveaway & Family Fun Day, Kingdom's Kids Camp during the summer, and Harvest Party. We also are involved in some community events such as The Worldwide Maple Festival in the Spring and the Colors of the Kingdom Festival in the Fall by putting up a tent with free face painting, books, and maple candies.

Our members and attenders are regularly encouraged to be involved in community organizations formed to reach out and meet the very great needs we have here.

CARE Ministry
Our mission in the CARE ministry is to help those we counsel understand the type of pain they have and where it comes from by using spiritual materials. Those who work in the CARE Ministry are very dependent on God for His wisdom and guidance. If you believe the CARE ministry is in line with your gifting, but you don't see a ministry that fits you exactly, reach out to us. We can help you discover your place in providing healing and hope for the hurting.
GriefShare is a recovery group for those mourning the death of a family member or friend. GriefShare generally runs one session a year at UBC for 13-weeks.

We are always open to new facilitators for any of our CARE ministries. Facilitators are carefully chosen and must be trained prior to facilitating groups.
DivorceCare is a 13-week recovery group for individuals experiencing a separation or divorce. Participants meet weekly as a group with a certified DivorceCare Leader and discuss topics such as anger, loneliness, depression, and the road to healing.

We are always open to new facilitators for any of our CARE ministries. Facilitators are carefully chosen and must be trained prior to facilitating groups.

Celebrate Recovery is a bible-based ministry helping people find freedom from the hurts, hang-ups and habits in their lives. Low self-esteem, alcoholism, eating disorders, codependency, drug abuse, abandonment, resentment and a history of abuse are just a few of the issues this program addresses, working with everyone from regular church attenders to men and women just released from prison or other institutions.

There are many ways to be involved in Celebrate Recovery including music, teaching, and providing food. Celebrate Recovery regularly meets on Friday evenings at the church from 6:00-9:00 p.m. If you're interested in being involved in this ministry, you can contact the program director, Eric Young either by e-mail or calling (802) 473-2931.
