We believe that children are an important part of the whole church family. We want children in our church to grow in their understanding of God and have an increasing desire to worship Him. Growing up in our culture is challenging, and we want children to find rest and strength in God over the fleeting promises of the world.

The words of Psalm 78 drive our hearts as we encourage families and children to love and serve God.

We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lordabout His power and His mighty wonders. For He issued his laws to Jacob; He gave his instructions to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them—even the children not yet born— and they in turn will teach their own children.

Preschool (Birth-Age 5)

We offer childcare all morning for children from birth through age 2. You will be asked to sign your children in and out of our nursery for their safety and your peace of mind. Toddlers are given a small snack of animal crackers while in the nursery, so please let us know if your child has food allergies or if you have packed a special snack for them. If your toddler is potty-training we have pint-sized potties in a special, private bathroom attached to the nursery as additional protection for them as they learn this new skill.
During our morning Sunday Bible Class time, our 3 & 4 year-olds attend Sunshine Village. In our Preschool ministry, we strive to create the first building blocks of a strong, gospel-centered foundation for our children. We teach from the Scriptures and help parents proclaim to their kids who God is and what He has done in the person and work of Jesus Christ. In Sunshine Village, we sing and teach the Bible to the kids, teaching them the same truths taught in our Gospel Project classes that the adults are taking.
We love children and that means our commitment to them is to allow them to be children; wiggly, silly, and little. Adventure Zone is an older kids nursery for 3-5 year olds that allows them to run and play without having to worry about babies getting hurt accidentally. You will be asked to sign your child in and out of Adventure Zone for their safety and your peace of mind. Children generally spend time playing and interacting with one another over our play kitchen, train table, and various other toys like puzzles and coloring. Your child may, at some point during the service, be escorted by our staff to the gym where they can run around in a wide space, and play with basketballs and some large trucks. Once back in the room children are given a small snack of either goldfish, cheerios, or animal crackers, so please let us know if your child has food allergies or if you have packed a special snack for them. While eating their snack we show them a short video about God so they can begin to take their first steps towards knowing and loving Him.

Elementary & Middle School (K-6th)

During the academic year, our elementary and middle school students gather together for a time of worship and Bible teaching followed by small discussion groups.

At The Quest, we work to continue building up a strong, Jesus-centered foundation for our children. We do this by teaching our kids about who God is—that He is wise, generous, loving and good. Our hope is to partner with parents in the teaching of their children by creating environments, and choosing curriculum and resources that center on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our students meet in small groups, spend time learning about the Bible, and are challenged weekly to have their own personal time with God and memorize Scripture. All workers in our children's ministries have had background checks and training in caring for children. Our kids love Quest and yours will too!
School-age children (1st grade-6th grade) are invited to join us at U.B.C. Kids for faith-based fun, food and fellowship on Sunday afternoons! Every week we will have energizing, inspirational music that will keep us singing all week long, faith-based stories will guide and encourage, then add friendly cooperative activities and games galore such as, foose ball, air hockey, gaga ball, slip & slide and so much more! We will also enjoy awesome snacks such as: king size cookies, snow cones, popcorn, fresh fruit, and giant Jello jigglers! We meet every Sunday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Mark your calendar and become a U. B. C. Kids regular! All workers in our children's ministries have had background checks and training in caring for children.
