Every week, adults from UBC gather together to connect with one another, hear the word of God taught, and apply it to their lives. This fellowship and edification happens in many arenas, and there is always a way to become more involved with UBC. Click on one of the areas below to read more detail about what is offered in our FAITH Groups as well as our Men's and Women's Ministries.

UBC isn't just a church with small groups...we're a church of small groups. The way we take care of one another is through our FAITH groups.

A weekend worship service here is pretty big, so it's hard to form deep friendships or be challenged by another brother or sister who wants God’s best for you. As a church, we have found that the best way we can help you go deeper with fewer people is in home FAITH Groups.

FAITH Groups of individuals and families meet at different times throughout the month to study the sermon series more in depth and spend time praying. These are places where community and relationships can form outside Sunday morning. This is the place that you will find people who will notice when you're missing, who will answer the questions you have about following Jesus, and who will give you opportunities to both serve and be served.

The three purposes for our FAITH Groups are:
1. Member Care
2. Evangelism
3. Developing Leadership

Its our intention that every regular attender and member of UBC really prioritizes connecting with one of these groups. If you are interested in connecting with a FAITH Group, e-mail us at You can also check out the list on the left side of this page to see what group(s) might be meeting in your area. We promise we'll be in touch.
Today’s culture casts a view of manhood that goes to extremes; distorting and hiding the true definition of what it means to be a man. We know there is a lot of confusion today. We invite men to join us as we walk through life and learn about true manhood through biblically-based relationships with other men who love Jesus and their families. Our desire is to see every man who longs to live for Jesus do life alongside other men to learn and live what manhood is all about with all of its challenges. This, in turn, allows us to face our culture and lead ourselves, our families and communities in love, honor and truth. Mentoring and discipleship take place through various venues here at UBC. We believe more in relationships than we do in programs. Contact Pastor Clifton at if you are interested.
We believe that God has made every woman for a purpose (your gender is no accident) and He has also given you gifts and abilities which are to be used in service of Him and in the spread of the gospel for His glory and our good. We invite women attending UBC to connect more deeply with Christ and His definition of womanhood. This allows us to stand firm in the midst of all the messages from our culture and to nourish life in our families and communities with love and truth. Connection and discipleship take place in many different ways at UBC. We believe in cultivating relationships more than creating programs because we believe God works in the small spaces of life. If you have questions or want to get connected with the Ladies Ministry further, you can contact either Marylin or Christie.

GriefShare is a recovery group for those mourning the death of a family member or friend. We understand that there are other losses in life that create feelings of grief. You might be experiencing a job loss, a divorce, estrangement from a child, or the loss of friends because of a move. This grief is real, but it is not the kind of grief discussed in GriefShare sessions. GriefShare groups meet weekly for 13-week sessions to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. To see if there is currently a group in session, check out our events page, or contact us at

Divorce Care
DivorceCare is a 13-week recovery group for individuals experiencing a separation or divorce. Participants meet weekly as a group with a certified DivorceCare Leader and discuss topics such as anger, loneliness, depression, and the road to healing. DivorceCare groups are led by people who understand and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable resources to help you deal with the past and move forward in rebuilding your life. To see if there is currently a group in session, check out our events page, or contact us at

Betrayal & Beyond
Betrayal and Beyond is a confidential group for women whose lives have been shattered by the impact of betrayal and broken trust in their marriages and relationships. God desires to rebuild a foundation with truth and grace around your heart that will provide a covering of safety and protection. For this purpose, Pure Desire has designed a specific treatment program and small group curriculum for women who want to discover a new sense of hope, healing, restoration and healthy relationships. Betrayal & Beyond meets on an ongoing basis. To find out if there is currently a group in session, please contact us at
Celebrate Recovery is a bible-based ministry helping people find freedom from the hurts, hang-ups and habits in their lives. Low self-esteem, alcoholism, eating disorders, codependency, drug abuse, abandonment, resentment and a history of abuse are just a few of the issues this program can help you overcome while exploring the truth of God’s word.

This program uses the encouragement of the Bible to apply God's grace and strength to the 12 steps and 8 principles of recovery. UBC hosts the Celebrate Recovery group every Friday night starting at 6:00 p.m. in the UBC Cafe. For more information, contact the program director, Eric Young, here, or call (802) 473-2931.
