Below you will find a detailed description of UBC’s doctrinal and theological beliefs in relation to the major areas of Christianity and the Biblical basis for each.

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. ( II Tim. 3:16,17II Peter 1:21)

There is only one God, eternally existing in three "persons": Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Deut. 6:4Matt. 28:19John 10:20Acts 5:1-4)

Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man. (Matt. 1:18-25John 1:1-18)

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and advocate (Intercessor).
(I Cor. 15:12-20Eph.1:20-23Heb.7:24-25)

We believe that Man sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death  which leads to eternal separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature; in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in  thought, word, and deed. (Gen. 3:6-12Rom. 5:12Ps. 51:5Ezek.18:4; Rom. 3:19;  Gal. 3:22Rom.7:14-25 )

Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who truly believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood; and that justification includes the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life, obtained on no other grounds but faith on the sinner's part. (I Cor.15:1-4Eph.1:7Rom.3:23-28Acts 20:20-21)

We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior are born again, and thereby become children of God, indwelt by His Holy Spirit as the seal of their
salvation; and that the proper evidence thereof is a Holy life manifesting the fruits of righteousness. (John 1:12Eph. 1:13-14Eph. 2:8-10)

We believe in the bodily resurrection and judgment of the just and bodily resurrection and  judgment of the unjust; in the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the
everlasting punishment of the lost. (John 5:24-29I Thess. 4:16-17Matt. 25-46II Thess.1:8-9II Cor. 5:9-10)

The church of Christ is an elect company of believers, baptized by the Holy Spirit into one Body; kept secure unto the end, designed to be separated from the "course of this world". Its mission is to witness concerning it's Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the Gospel among all nations; and its destiny is to be caught up to meet the Lord in the air at His coming. (I Peter 2:9-10Acts 15:14I Cor.12:12-13John 10:27- 29I Peter 1:5Titus 2:11-14Matt. 28:19-20I Thess. 4:16-18 )
